OPC Time Monitor as an OPC Server Consolidator

The OPC Time Monitor can also act as an OPC Server Consolidator or "funneler".  If you have two or more OPC Servers and you would prefer to only have your client or clients connect to one OPC Server then this is your solution. Some OPC Clients limit themselves to a single OPC server connection.  By using OPC Time Monitor you can make the tags from multiple servers available to your clients from a single point location.  The beauty of using OPC Time Monitor for this type of functionality is that you get so much more in the aggregates that you can choose to have automatically calculated for you, such as cycle time, time in condition, etc.  Why buy just a funneler when you can get more ?

Advantages: The same Client configuration can be used to connect to different OPC servers by simply putting OPC Time Monitor in between. The Time Monitor can control the tag update rate to the OPC Servers preventing Client Applications from adversely impacting the load on connections from the downstream OPC servers to their devices. Optimizes Client requests so if more than one Client asks for a tag only one request will be made of the server for both Clients. Simplifies configuration of larger projects and makes maintenance easier. User assignable tag names allow you to create aliases to shorten complicated OPC server tagnames.
